I admit I haven't read the book, but I've read some of the commentary and interviews about it. From what I understand, their point is we need to unleash abundance, and their theory of getting things done focuses on doing what works rather than getting too wedded to one approach (we only need deregulation vs it has to be through subsidies). I basically agree with that, but within that context my hunch is deregulation and stopping rent-seeking from interested parties is going to be our most effective tool to overcome abundance problems.
